West Wyalong High School has been incredibly lucky in receiving a generous donation from the Caroline Chisholm College in Glenmore Park Sydney. After connecting with our school through the Rotary exchange program the college has fundraised an amazing $3000 to support our country kids during the drought.
We are incredibly grateful to the college for their unbelievable generosity and are using this opportunity to pay it forward. As we know how much our community is struggling with the drought we have held a barbeque, purchasing the food from a variety of community organisations to support their businesses at this tough time.
We have proudly purchased our meat from local butcheries, our salads, sweets and sandwiches from local cafes and coffee shops and a variety of sauces and accompaniments from the IGA.
The barbeque was held on Tuesday 4th September and the cheque was presented at an assembly prior.
West Wyalong High School would like to thank the Caroline Chisholm College for their generous donation and giving us the opportunity to support our local businesses. We would also like to extend our thanks to the community organisations who provided us with the delicious food for our barbeque.
