On this week's assembly (February 14) Mr Sheens introduced Mrs Fran Mitchell, representing the CWA, to present scholarships to Sebastian Nagle, Ranan Sannga and Chelsea and Mitchell Collins. We are extremely grateful to the CWA Phillip Group for their continued support of our students.
Mr Sheens also spoke to the students about the importance of being in uniform, the need for all students to wear leather enclosed shoes and he introduced our new student welfare teacher who will visit WWHS every Wednesday, Mr Patrick Hubatka.
Mrs Milsom and Miss Astley then had the absolute pleasure of presenting the State Gold medallions to our victorious aerobics teams of last year. Unfortunately not all girls were present to accept their medallions. We are extremely proud of their success.
Mr Bishop spoke to students about our expectations regarding their behaviour in the playground.
To conclude the assembly the student leadership team referred to the 10th anniversary of Kevin Rudd's "Apology to Australia's Indigenous Peoples" and its significance to our school and community.
