The skills roadshow will be coming to West Wyalong High School on Tuesday 27th February 2018
All Year 9,10,11,12 will have a session period 1 & 2 followed up with small workshops with Yr 10, 11 & 12 student's period 3 & 4. Parents are welcome to attend period 1 or 2 for the large group sessions. This is a great opportunity for all students involved to gain valuable knowledge and resources to help with their career and employment pathways.

School visit outline & structure: (based on a standard 6 period timetable, flexible according to school requirements)
* No cost, open to students in Years 9-12.
* Period 1 - Presentation to Group 1 (in hall, gym, classroom, library, etc.)
o Requirements: AV - screen, projector & sound
o We can present to full year groups or smaller classes, and tailor our presentation appropriately. (Maximum numbers approx. 150)
o The presentation includes inspirational career stories, why it's important for students to be thinking about their career journey, how the Skillsroad tools can help, what employers are looking for.
* Period 2 - Presentation to Group 2 (as above)
* Recess - break for presenter.
* Period 3 - "My Career Plan" workshop
o Maxium 15 students, identified by you as either at risk of disengaging, or in need of extra support in thinking about their career planning
o Requirements: classroom or library with a computer for each student
o Participants should have all attended one of the presentations in the morning
o Each student will take away a "My Career Plan" worksheet, where they have identified some goals and next steps on their journey.
* Period 4 - "My Career Plan" workshop - as above
* Lunch - informal interaction on the school playground.
* Period 5 - pack up and depart
