On Thursday 31st August, eight students made an early departure to CSU Wagga to attend a Riverina Leadership Forum otherwise known as REROC for the day. Fifty other students from across the Riverina were also involved. Throughout the day the students experienced strategies for healthy well being such as meditation, fitness and working together as a team. There was also a session on how to cope with ever increasing social media in their daily lives. The three guest speakers were very motivating through the day. They included Brynlea Gibson who, at only 16 years of age invented a remote control robot using human movements. Lilly Lyons still attends Liverpool Girls High School. She was a target of a sexual assault and has her own radio station to raise youth awareness safety. Finally, Samuel Clarke who has beaten cancer twice and is now helping young people who struggle with physical or emotional health. He is also the youth ambassador for R U OK? The West Wyalong High School students came away from the day feeling inspired and eager to pass on what they have learned onto their peers. Students who attended the day were Lachlan Miller, Josie Holland, Tom Apolony, Lydia White, Rebecca Cummings, Luke Cameron, Joe Waddell and Georgia Miller.
