On August 24th, West Wyalong High School hosted round 2 of the U15's western region basketball. Both boys and girls competed and gained successful results. Both teams will now advance to the next round to be held at the West Wyalong basketball stadium on Thursday the 14th of September.
After beating both Orange and Gilgandra, the girls team will now face Leeton High School. The team consisted of Cate Hood, Mackenzie Parkes, Lydia White, Tayla Leadbitter, Bree Franklin, Aimee Jewell, Mackayla Cooper, Tiarne Lloyd, Georgia Miller and Brydie White.
The boys teams fought hard to beat both Mudgee and Lithgow and will now face Deniliquin High School. The boys team consisted of Tom Apolony, Jake Jewell, Sam Glasgow, Kody Pilon, Luke Cameron, Rowan Duncan, Bailey Schneeberger, Will Crossman, Zac Hanrahan and Alex Mach.
The girls will play at 10am and the boys are scheduled to play at 12 noon. Good luck to both teams.
