The Outstanding Effort Award Assembly for Semester One was held on Wednesday 28th June.
Awards are presented to students for
Outstanding Effort Award: for those students who make a sustained effort over the semester in their class.
Academic Achievement Award: to students who achieve the highest rank in a class (including each subject taught in year 7)
Commitment to Learning: to students who are actively involved in their learning, who persist with their learning and are keen to improve.
The Year Advisors also select up to six students in their year group who they believe have adhered to the school's six C's - Commitment, Common Sense, Courtesy, Care, Co-operation, and Consideration.
Kyle Shilling was the guest speaker at the assembly this semester. Kyle spoke about making the right choices in life and never giving up on your dreams. He encouraged students to believe in themselves and being accountable for your actions.
