NATIONAL SLAM POET

Zohab Zee Khan holds the 2014 National Slam Poetry title. He visited West Wyalong High School on the 16th of May and spoke to students in years 7 to 10. 

Zohab spoke to the students about his life growing up in Yenda and about his efforts to achieve being a National Champion.  

He spoke about the number of times he was defeated before he finally won the title. This important message coincides with the "Growth Mindset" being implemented at West Wyalong High School and the importance of accepting opportunities and challenges and to not be afraid of making mistakes. 

Zohab performed a number of his poems for the students and encouraged them to try something new every day.
