All girls in year 7 and 8 from West Wyalong High School were given the opportunity to travel to Griffith to play Netball in the Schools Cup Netball competition.
Thirty students accepted the opportunity, so three teams were entered. Some of these students had never played Netball before while others have played for a number of years. The teams were mixed abilities so that the new players could learn the rules and everyone could have some fun.
Each team played seven games for the day with the skill level and team work improving with each game. The sportsmanship was outstanding and the girls should all be congratulated on the way they represented West Wyalong High School.
Each team won at least two of their games with the team of year 8 girls finishing the best of the West Wyalong teams with five wins for the day.
Thank you to all parents who helped with transport, managing and umpiring and the students who umpired during the day.
