ATHLETICS CARNIVAL

Our Athletics Carnival was completed on Friday, May 5^th in perfect conditions for competition. There were some particularly big age groups competing and all were able to participate and enjoy the day.

At the top end of the performances, we had seven new records set by five students. The records that were broken on the day were set anywhere from 2006 to 2016.

All students who participated and assisted should be congratulated on their efforts throughout the day. Particular mention should also go to those House Captains and other leaders who encouraged others to be involved. It did not go unnoticed! A great day was had by all and a big thanks goes out to Julie in the canteen for keeping everyone fed and watered.

Students who are considering attending the Western Region Athletics Trials in Dubbo will need to listen carefully to the notices. Mr Duncan will hand out nomination forms and information regarding the trials in the next couple of weeks. These nomination forms must be completed properly and be returned by the due date. The date of the trials is the 28^th July (Friday, week 2, Term 3).

The battle for Age Champions was very intense in most age groups. While there were a couple of dominant performances on the day, overall it was tight in terms of the individual points with the top four pushing each other all day. More photos are available in the gallery.
