West Wyalong High School students have been given the opportunity to listen to three guest speakers during the last week of term one.
Rugby League development officers Andrew Herbert and Andrew Lavaka visited on Wednesday the 5th of April. They spoke to the students about "Respect". Respect of possessions of others and especially respect of yourself.
On Thursday the 6th of April, students in years 7, 8, and 9 were able to listen to guest speaker Dan Haeslar. Dan spoke to years 10, 11 and 12 last year and delivered the message of "Growth Mindset".
Growth mindset is about challenging yourself, stepping outside your comfort area and making mistakes in order to improve and develop better skills and knowledge.
Both presentations were received well with students already implementing some of the information they were presented with.
