The 15s Netball team for 2017-2018 travelled to Orange on Thursday 23rd November for rounds 1, 2 and 3 of the CHS knockout.
The team consisted of Tiarne Lloyd, Eloise Ryan, Aimee Jewell, Makayla Cooper, Lydia White, Alana Donaldson, Charlotte Whiley, Ranan Sannga and Jess Glasgow.
The first game was against Bathurst High School. The girls began slowly and were down by 8 to 4 at half time. They played a much better second half and dominated both ends of the court. They were able to reduce the deficit but unfortunately ran out of time and went down by one point 11 to 12.
The second game was against Orange High School. Again West Wyalong were down by 4 at half time. Everyone played well but Orange were able to take advantage of their taller players and ran away with the win.
The third game was against Parkes. The West Wyalong girls relaxed and played some very good Netball to be ahead by 4 at half time. This time Parkes were able to dominate the second half and West Wyalong lost 10 to 12.
The West Wyalong girls displayed great sportsmanship and never gave up. Thanks to Belle Spackman who travelled to Orange with the team and umpired each game.
